A Quarter Century traces a loose narrative about a group of friends whose language is rooted in 25-year-old life, though it is performed by a cast over the age of 65. The narrative is interwoven with scores which invite performers to share feelings and routines from their real lives that touch on similar themes as the story. The piece explores what changes within us over time. How do we grapple with loss? How do we face a future that scares us? Do we continue to have fantasies about strangers in the subway? How many times can we redefine ourselves?
